The Project Management Institute (PMI) has published a number of standards related to project management and manages several levels of project management certification. Its main standard A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOKĻ Guide) is currently in its third edition and is the only ANSI standard for project management. Certifications include: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Program Management Professional (PgMP). Earn Contact Hours and Professional Development Units (PDUs)CREDENTIAL APPLICANTS:In order to qualify for certain credentials offered by PMI, applicants must have achieved a specified number of "contact hours" of formal education. CREDENTIAL HOLDERS:In order to maintain status as a credential holder in good standing, PMI requires that a specified number of "Professional Development Units" (PDUs) be earned for given credentials. As a Category 4 Education Provider, VTC may issue PDUs for purposes of meeting the continuing certification requirements.
