Grow a virtual culture through lag, exponential, stationary and death phases and see the straight line of exponential growth on a log plot, with doubling time read straight from the slope. Nutrient-limited Monod growth explains why growth stops, and a chemostat mode finds the steady state and the washout point. A colony-counting exercise has you dilute and plate a sample, then compare your estimate with the truth.
