Welcome to Photoshop CS3 the latest iteration of Adobe's world class image editing application and actually saying imaging editing application is really not giving Photoshop all the credit it deserves. Because these days Photoshop can do pretty much anything you can think of. If you are a fine artist and you want to create paintings, welcome to Photoshop. If you are a graphic designer and you want to do DVD covers like this, welcome to Photoshop. It can do anything you want to because it's simply a toolset nothing more, nothing less. Once you open up Photoshop you can stare at it all day long, it won't do anything; you have to bring your skills to it. And that's where this training comes in handy. I'm gonna show you the new features, I'm gonna show you the tools you'll need to use to create artwork and once you get familiar with the workflow you'll be able to create anything. Now one thing I do want to bring up is that layers are going to be something very important for you to master and they are pretty easy actually. So don't worry about that. Layers are how you are going to go with your complicated artwork. Now this piece of artwork you are looking at looks like its one piece right? Nope, it's actually a whole bunch of layers. Let me zoom out a little bit and I'll grab my layers and you'll see I can turn them off and on and I can hide and show different components of this artwork. And that is how you are going to build your artwork in Photoshop, you can rearrange things, you can place them where you want to, you can drag and drop new components of artwork into this piece. And as you can see you can also use old and new. This image here was created two or three years ago and I brought it into Photoshop, I updated it and these two pictures here are stills from some of my other training courses. Let me just zoom in a little bit on those guys. So Photoshop is something that you can use to create pretty much anything and the only limitation of course is your skills. And once again that is what you are going to learn here, the Photoshop skills you need to create the artwork that you have in your mind.
