Hello and welcome to VTC's Photoshop CS6 for Photographers. I'm Phil Hawkins and I've been using Photoshop since version 5.0 way back in 1998. Now this course is designed to be a resource upon which you can refer when needed. I know when I first started figuring out how to use the tools was a major stumbling block for me even when I understood everything else. Now we'll learn layers, masking color, black and white conversions, preparing your images for print and for the Internet, sharpening, you name it. Now this newest version of Photoshop features new functionality with the Mercury Graphics Engine, plus simplified and expanded tools, things you can use immediately that will impact how you work and post and how your images will look. Now this update in my opinion has more that will directly impact your images than any other update I can remember. And we're going to have fun. You're hopefully going to get lots of ideas about how to tweak your images for creativity or just to get them looking their best.
