00:00:03,001 --> 00:00:10,000Hi and welcome to Virtual Training Company's training course on Photoshop and Premiere Elements. My name is James Gonzalez and I'll be your guide through this look at two different but related products that when combined deliver a very complete photo and video editing solution and DVD creation package at a great value. Before we begin, I need to orientate you on how these videos work. I'm currently using screen capturing software to record my voice and computer screen. The video images you will see running on my screen are being captured by this screen recording program. Due to the limitations of this recording software, the video images you will see in the second half of this tutorial during some of the Premiere Elements movies will look a little jerky perhaps, and the sound may be a bit distorted when played back. But rest assured that when you play back the video sequences on your computer with these applications, the playback will be just fine. Photoshop Elements combines power and simplicity so you can do more with your photos. Instantly fix flaws, or adjust color and lighting with new advanced controls, quickly drop your photos into customizable layouts, and show off your creativity with dynamic web photo galleries created using Flash technology. You can also view all your photos and video clips in one convenient place. The Premiere Elements software makes creating and sharing impressive home videos a snap. Burn your footage to DVD in two simple steps complete with a DVD menu and scene index, or easily assemble your movie by rearranging clips with drag and drop simplicity. Then, share your movies on DVD, the web, mobile phones, and virtually anywhere else. Both applications will be reviewed in a comprehensive manner, starting with Photoshop Elements. We'll review the Elements interface, and then we'll review how to get photos, view photos and organize photos in the Organizer. Then we'll shift our attention to the Editors, working with files in both the Full Editor and the Quick Editor. There will be a section showing you how to make selections, work with layers, and how to edit your images as well as correcting contrast, clarity and color. That will be followed up with a section on working with effects and filters. And the Photoshop movies will conclude with information about printing and sharing images. Next we'll move into Premiere Elements with an introduction to the program, an overview of projects and workspaces, how to add media to your projects, how to arrange your clips on the scene lines and timelines, as well as how to edit clips, apply transitions, apply effects and creating titles. That will be followed with sections on adding and mixing audio, all about how to create DVDs, exporting your projects to a variety of formats, and then the course will conclude with a section on how to use Photoshop and Premiere Elements together. Let me now move on to the next movie and speak more specifically about the kinds of things you can do with Photoshop Elements.
