Hi there and welcome to this VTC tutorial on iWork 2008. This is Apple's latest edition of the suite of productivity applications that do word processing, that do slideshow presentations and the new bell and whistle in terms of this new suite of applications in iWork is Numbers, and this does spreadsheets. So let's take a look at one of these. I've got Keynote open already. There's Keynote and let's pull up the presentation that I was dealing with. Ah ha! This is the one I was building earlier. Once again, welcome. My name is Brian Culp. I'll be your tour guide as we look at some of these applications or, not some of them. Heck, we're going to look at all of them in iWork in this tutorial. We'll look first, mostly, at Keynote. Here's what we're covering. We're, intro to Pages, Keynote and Numbers in the first couple of chapters in this tutorial. Then we'll look at Pages and create dynamic documents with Pages, so we really get into some of the fun stuff. Keynote will make presentation, slideshow presentations like the one we're viewing right now. And then Numbers will create dynamic spreadsheets. So we'll do all those things and then we'll look at some advanced techniques and topics in each of the three applications. So, by the end of this tutorial, you'll be able to make really great documents with Pages, really great dynamic presentations with Keynote and really cool spreadsheets that you can do all kinds of number crunching with, you can send invoices to all the people you do their work for with Numbers. So sky's the limit here. Because then we'll see lots of cool stuff. And this slide isn't even the way it's supposed to look. We're going to export this and or have exported this to show you what's coming up here, but we'll look at the VTC presentation as the final product would be and you'll get things that end up looking like this. Oh! Turning pages and having text fly in like that and like that and then whammo! The text gets to move over to the center. So again, by the end of this tutorial, you're going to have a pretty good command of what each one of these three applications and you're going to be able to make documents, spreadsheets, presentations that will blow your colleagues away.
