Welcome to Bryce, Bryce is a world creation application. It's a 3D application and what you can do with it is you can create complete worlds. You can create a landscape, you can create a ocean, trees, objects you know anything that you can think of. And what I'm going to do while I'm talking about what Bryce can do for you is I'm going to go ahead and start rendering one of these scenes I'm working on and I'll show you two finished pieces that I created and actually have as prints. Now, Bryce has been around for awhile and its very, very popular because the interface is very unique but it gives you a hug amount of power. You can not only create objects that Bryce comes with but you can also edit those objects, so you can take a mountain like this and then slowly but surely create your own Mt. Everest or create an Aztec temple or entire city, you know its up to you and what you want to do with the program. Now what I like to do is I like to get a cup of coffee put my headphones on get an audio book going and just start to create something. Sometimes I draw something on paper first to sketch out an idea and sometimes I just get started writing Bryce and sometimes the imagination can take off simply by clicking on the terrain button right here and adding an ocean or a desert and just taking it from there, Playing around with the lights and the camera, playing around with the sky, there is so much you can with this application that its really great. Here you see I have a scene with a castle on top of a mountainscape and I carved out this valley in the mountainscape and I have this order going through here and as I said before, you can actually customize the mountains that comes with Bryce, the terrains. I'll show you how to make mountains completely from scratch, how to create your own objects, also how to import objects from other applications such as Lightwave right into Bryce so you can work with it in your scene. So this scene is pretty much done or rather the render of it is. But I'm not finished working on it yet because I'm going to do some more cool stuff with it. But I'm going to show you also I have these two pieces here that I finished, this is called Ogani Island and this was created in Bryce 5 and I have this really cool mountainscape thing going on in the middle of this ocean with this really kind of surreal sky and this gigantic mask here, this face that's like submerged into the ocean but you have to ask yourself was it carved from the island or was the island carved out of this mask or whatever this was. So that's Ogani Island and as you see I signed my name Hunter Wolf when I do my fine art. I also have another one called guardian mountain and this mountain was created in Bryce and the sky as well and the birds and the guy and what I did was I pretty much took it into Photoshop and I added some colors to it and I changed the way it looks, I added some filters. So once again Bryce can be taken into other applications or rather the output can. You can take your artwork to Poser or to painter or to any other application to create other effects and I'll, tell you about how to do that as well. So Bryce is a very cool application, I'm glad you guys are going to check out this tutorial and by the time we're done we're going to create some scenes and you're going to really understand how to use the application to create some really, really unique and amazing artwork to show your family and friends or even to sell as prints.
