Welcome to VTC's MasterClass! - Adobe InDesign Productivity Essentials, my name is Brian White and I am the author of these tutorials. Now these tutorials are based on the premise that you already know how to use InDesign. I'm using Indesign CS3 but a lot of the features that I'm showing you relate to certainly CS2 and a lot InDesign CS. Now I make the assumption that you do know things but if you don't you can also check out VTC's tutorial, here is InDesign CS3, I'm also the author of that as well as the author of InDesign CS2 and InDesign CS. These are very extensive tutorials which go into a lot more details and assume no knowledge as you move through. There's nearly 250 movies here, over 13 and half hours and if you are a beginner I would recommend this rather then this particular tutorial that I'm doing at the moment. What I'm specializing in here is little tips and tricks that will make things more efficiently. Maybe just simply how to switch between the text tool and the selection tool, how to make lures a little bit more efficient and use them more efficiently. That's the sort of tips that I'm looking at. We've got three chapters, their based on graphics, objects, and color, text and layout. Now there are plenty more tips that are not included in here do to the structure of these particular tutorials, they are limited in time and space, so there are things that I definitely do not cover here. But these will give you a good grounding and some of them you'll be able to apply to other aspects of InDesign, just a little bit of imagination will help you work a lot faster and a lot more efficiently. So we'll get going, in the next chapter I'll start with graphics, objects and color.
