iOS 6 Course

Introduction. Hey, everybody. Sam McGuire here and we're going to be covering iOS 6 which is the latest mobile operating system for devices such as the iPhone iPad, iPod, et cetera. So what we're going to be doing is covering a lot of the features that come as a standard install of your device. Now we are going to look at some third party apps and some third party technically not third party but additional Apple Apps as we go through this, to give you an idea of the possibilities and the power of this operating system. We're going to spend quite a bit of time on the new features because that's really what most of you are going to be experiencing. So we want to look at what's different from previous versions as you get into the Maps and some of the other mobile integration with social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Now this is a great operating system, it's not perfect. There are some things which are really notably going on with this that even Apple has admitted, especially with it's Maps App. But we're going to look at this with a positive outlook and see the things that it does offer and go through what we can do and we'll talk a little bit about some of the things that we wish it could do in the future. So as we go through this, remember that it's going to be best if you have your device out and you follow along and do some of the exact same things. Because that's really one of the best ways to learn. You can watch we're doing and you can see how we're doing it but it's always going to be best if you can follow along. That being said let's move on right away into next tutorial which is going to talk a little bit about the history of iOS and some of the key points along the way. So let's jump into the next tutorial.
