Microsoft Outlook 2013 Course

(SFX) Hello there and welcome to this Virtual Training Company course covering Outlook 2013. My name is Brian Culp I'll be your tour guide, your instructor, your facilitator of the conversation as we look at all of the things that this application can do. Well, it might not be everything it can do but it'll be most of what it can do. I've been authoring tutorials for the Virtual Training Company, I've been authoring books where you have to write the words down and they print them on paper and glue the pages together. I've been doing that for about ten years and I've got a lot of experience with authoring these type of courses. And especially with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications. So with that said, I want to give you just a few ground rules as we look at the lessons in this course. The lessons will be short and to the point. I like to give you the tip or the instructions to be able to execute a task and then stop. Let you go on about your day because I know that you're probably not going to sit down and listen to this thing beginning to end in one setting or even a series of settings. You're going to pick and choose the things that are most relevant to you. I also as you probably can tell from the introduction I keep things fairly conversational so my style is not to go now move the mouse to two and click. If that's your style you'll just have to bear with me but I try to imagine that we're having a conversation. Really I'm having a conversation with myself but I try to imagine you're in the room with me and we are just talking about how to use this application better and faster and more efficient than you can right now. Also the last ground rule before I stop, this introductory lesson here is that as you look through the table of contents I want you to realize that there may be more than meets the title. I can only cram so many words and letters into the title of a lesson. But a lot of the times when I'm talking about something I'll talk about some related topics or some related skills or click steps that you can use that enhance whatever I'm talking about in that lesson. So those are the ground rules you'll hear more about what I mean when I say everything's a tip and trick in the next lesson but I hope you enjoy the course. And as you see at the very end of this entire course I leave my E-mail so that you can send me any questions that you have that come up as you're going through this material.
