PMI: Risk Management Professional (Part 2) Course

Welcome to VTC's course of Risk Management Part 2. My name is Vanina Mangano and I will be your instructor. This course is Part 2 in a series of three courses meant to give you a thorough review and level of understanding on the topic of Project Risk as well as a guide to preparing for the PMI Risk Management Professional Certification Exam. Whether you are preparing for an upcoming exam or just looking to gain a foundation and understanding of project risk, this course has something to offer you. Together, the three comprehensive courses on Risk Management will prepare you for the certification exam offered by the Project Management Institute that I mentioned earlier. I'd like to take a moment to briefly introduce myself before going into further detail about the course contents. I am a Certified Project Management Professional and Risk Management Professional, both credentials that are offered by the Project Management Institute. I currently specialize in Project Management training and consider myself an entrepreneur. I am also the author of the Project Management Professional Review Guide, published by Sybex. Introduction aside, I'll now take a moment to cover the contents of the course. If you've gone through VTC's Risk Management Professional Part 1, you have already gained a foundation of and basic understanding of project risk as well as risk identification and communication. This course picks up where that course left off, moving into risk analysis. So whether you're preparing for PMI's Risk Management Exam or not, you'll learn a great deal of information that can be applied to real-world project management. As I mentioned earlier, this course is Part 2 of a three-part series. Between the three courses, we will cover all the exam domains and out of the four exam domains covered by the Risk Management Exam, which includes risk examination, risk analysis, risk response planning and risk governance, we will fully be covering risk analysis. We covered part of risk analysis in Part 1 during our review of risk identification. Specifically within this course we will review the qualitative risk analysis process, including an overview of the process, the inputs, tools and techniques and the outputs. We'll also cover the quantitative risk analysis process, once again including an overview, the inputs, the tools and techniques and the outputs. And by the end of the course, you'll be ready to go through exam practice questions that are written in the format of the certification exam, which is multiple choice. And we'll close out the course with a review of terms, a brief review of Part 1 and a course summary. And that concludes this movie on the Risk Management Professional Part 2 course contents. I hope you enjoy the course and will be able to utilize the contents towards achieving the PMI RMP credential or just in applying the concepts and information towards improving your project risk management skills.
